TACFIT Kilo

Today a did TACFIT Kilo at delta level and I have to say that I think this is my favorite TACFIT session yet. I just really like the mix up of moves and the 90 seconds on 30 seconds rest.

I have decided that I am going to purchase a set of RMAX UGS shoes. I was wearing VFF's for a while but in my gym I wanted something a bit more comfortable. Then I switched to just bear feet but they sweat. I have been using shocks but they slip around on your feet too much when in poses so I thought I would give the UGS shoes a try. I have heard good things about them so we will see.

Today I stumbled upon an endurance challenge online called Tough Mudder . It was created by an ex Britsh Special Forces officer. He wanted to create a challenge that would test your physical and mental ability while building commodore. I see that one is coming to Toronto in 2012 and I think I might take part. It will give me something to work my training towards and I have been wanting to do an endurance type challenge ever since I lost my weight. I asked my wife if she wants to join me and needless to say she is not a mud person but she will Cheer me on the side lines.

Hey Brian, where ya' been?

Uggs are pretty comfortable, if your bare feet sweat they will sweat more inside of the uggs. My feet tend to get rather warm inside the. My friend John Belkewicz (just became a CST Head Coach) did a Tough Mudder last November. He said the hardest part was dealing with being wet AND cold. He said the water was freezing and you were soaked within the first few minutes. I believe he wrote an article about some of his preparation two or three issues ago in the RMAX magazine. Good luck if you decide to do it.... I thought about it for about 2 seconds and decided that the Risk (of injury) would be too high for an old goat like me!

I have just been so busy with work and other things that I just can't seem to find that time to post. I am making an effort to try and pick it up though.

I am still undecided on the UGS's I have been told that it's best to wear some sport type socks with them. That will help the sweating. Let face it if you’re working out and you are proned to sweaty feet that they will sweat. I will see how it goes I guess.

I think it was one of john's videos for the though mudder fitness prep that made me look it up. I think we are talking about the same person. I am not 100% decided on it as of yet, we will see how things go. It is not available for registration yet so I have some time to think about it.

The mudder definitely looks like a fun challenge!
